Going through all of the modes on the PS-3 with several settings and there are still sounds that it has that arent featured in the vid.

Only modes i didnt use were 1,3, and 11.
Playing through a Sx Strat.

  • i already have a boss ps-5, would you still recommend this? I know theres things in here that the ps-5 can't do, but is it worth it?

  • @TacooGrill Depends, what would you plan on using the PS-3 for? Also, would you be replacing the PS-5 with the PS-3 or would you be keeping both?

  • @frankiejHC i'd be keeping the ps-5, probably not using it in the same set up with a ps-3, but i've been trying to mimic some stuff that an eventide pitch factor can do with my ps-5 and a delay, would this work better?

  • @TacooGrill I'll tell you this... The PS-3 isn't an intelligent pitch shifter nor does it track as well as the PS-5. If you plan to try to mimic the pitch factor your going to need something that tracks very well: the PS-3 not being one of them. To me the PS-3 is like a little modulation multi-fx unit; it does delay, chorus, pitch shifting, reverb, a weird flanger, octvator, and it has mode 7. It's a great pedal but for what your asking, I wouldn't recommend it. Hope that helps!

  • that sounds pretty sick. But do you know how to work the harmonizer with distortion? I've been trying to get it to sound like dual guitars but it sounds all like... computery. I've been trying to get it as close to Bullet For My Valentine's "Hands Of Blood" at the beginning. Could you possible help?

  • @Kardflow Ummm, well by nature the PS-3 isn't the most natural pitchshifter. It's a bit glitchy and doesn't track as well as other pitchshifters. Sorry I can't be of help.
