Ahmadinejad never literally said "wipe off the map", a literal translation is "vanish from the pages of time" and was in a larger speech that mentioned "vanish from the pages of time" in connection to the Soviet Union, meaning Ahmadinejad wants Israel to collapse from internal unrest not anything military. That isn't nice either, but it doesn't make him a threat. Other Middle Eastern leaders have expressed similar sentiments towards Israel without the media saying a word.

2. Ahmadinejad has very little power, most of the power including all power over Iran's military rests with the "Supreme Leader" Khamenei, NOT Ahmadinejad. Ahmadinejad is just there to give the Iranian people the appearance of democracy. And yet the media focuses almost entirely on Ahmadinejad, because he's scarier.

The leaders of Iran are not nice people.
That being said the media keeps exaggerated things.
1. If Iran was as virulently antisemitic as they claimed they wouldn't have reserved a seat in their Majlis specifically for the Jews.

Israel has NO RIGHT to demand an international investigation into Irans nuclear ambition when the Israeli's themselves have refused to do the same.
Israel is largely known to possess 200-300 nuclear warheads (neither confirmed nor disputed by Israel) yet they demand Iran disclose any and all nuclear ambitions by their Iranian rival Mid-East state of Iran... I smell bullshit.
All I can say is that Jews are extremely good at setting double standards while preying on sympathy. Don't fall for it!
