Adorable Kid is Adorable, but also silly. If you have time sync enabled, the OS sends a request to the selected server for it's time/date. The server then responds and sends it to you, and then the OS simply replaces the current time/date with the received one.

If you're absolutly sure they're spying on you, just change the server to another one.
