Blip & Blab : Language Explorers

Here is a preview of the first of 12 episodes of an ESL home video course for children I created and co-developed with comedian, Nick Santa Maria, called, "Blip and Blab: Language Explorers". We created it back in 1997, I believe. It taught English to non English speaking children. The concept was, two space Aliens (Blip and Blab) come to Earth and land in the United States. It's there that they befriend a group of kids who teach Blip and Blab how to speak English. The aliens use their space powers to take the kids on crazy and fun adventures during the whole English learning process. The challenge in producing this was, how do you get a non English speaking audience to understand what is being said and done on screen? The answer, .. use LOTS of visual comedy and only English words and phrases straight out of the ESL curriculum.
