Find these on AbeBooks: http://bit.ly/l3fPYD

What are your bookshelves like? Are they many or few? Are they stuffed to the gills, messy, overlapping and stacked willy-nilly? Or are they tasteful and sparse, organized by color, genre, book size, publication date? Are your tastes narrow and clearly defined, or do they run the gamut from romance to rarities?

To those of us who love books and love reading, our bookshelves can be among the most prized and personal areas of our home. Now, you're invited into the home of one of the AbeBooks staff to snoop at one of her bookshelves, see what she has, learn what she loves and perhaps find an idea for your next read.

  • Thanks for the comments! Glad to know you enjoyed the video.

Bobsgals, I realized my omission after the fact - the book in question is indeed an edition of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

  • One of my favorite books that i bought for the cover and the age was the baronets bride(1868), super great shape and lovely cover. Also the prospecting book, is that from the Klondike gold rush?

  • Nice really enjoyed this !

  • You didn't mention the name of the book with the 12 colour plates, which you intend someday to have restored. Is it Alice in Wonderland or through the looking glass? The plate you showed seemed to show this. Thanks.

  • Thanks for this; I'm a geezer now but I recall boring visits to the homes of elderly relatives and family friends that took a great turn when I found something to read. The books of the narrowest interest that have such worn covers recall a time when books were really appreciated and shared. Wish I had back some of the loaners that never came home. Love to find yard sale books that are perfect for friends.
