In this video I show you 3 basic drills to help you along your wing chun training. The first drill I've called is the listening drill. The simple concept behind the drill is simply to match the force and maintain that force. So, whenever the initial touch occurs between you and your opponent, the main goal is keep it at that. If its 5lbs, maintain that 5lbs whether going forward or backward or side to side. One tip is that in this drill your learning how to stick, eventually you'll develop the skill to make people stick to you. But for now, learn the basics of feeling your opponents force. Also, while its good to stay within the triangle it is possible to go outside of it for this particular drill.

Drill #2 is technique blocking. Some what on the opposite end of the first drill, this time you want to spend the time and effort applying techniques such as your tan, bong, lop, fok, etc, etc. Knowing how to use these techniques are a must in developing your wing chun skills. Also keep in mind that the the same concept of matching the force and maintaining it is also recommended so that you can feel where your opponent is going.

Drill #3 Freeze frame - The main idea is block after the attack, giving both attacker and blocker time to see lines of blocking and attacking. Often times in a haste to block, you may have blocked the attacked but at what cost? Blocking means putting yourself in a great position to shot back at your opponent, and not giving him another opportunity to hit you. With out learning how to develop this, proper distance and positioning won't be developed.

All these levels I'm showing are being performed at level 1, you can modify and adjust the difficulty of these drills once these basic drills are mastered.
