  • she is katuyuki (佳つ幸),now geiko.

in kyoto the word geisha meas artitist including male and female.

in tokyo ,they are called geisha.

in kyoto they prefer to be called geiko or maiko(apprentice to geiko.)

if you call them maiko san or geiko san ,you get some respect from them.

  • It is difficult to explain different culture.

    a example.

Some foreigin tourist asking seriously 'How much she is? ' and point to cheer-girl in Ralph Wilson Stadium under playing American Football.

  • Geisha is not prostitute.

It is consider non-educated countryman that who hope Geisha to something to prostitute or like that.

    this is calture.

Historical Japanese prostitute is named 'Yuujyo'. not Geisha.

  • She's beautiful!!! o.o

  • @gardengeisha Can you make a list off good online shops or list off were you can buy a maiko and geiko everything needed for theyre outfit?

  • The girl behind her is Koyumi. She became a Maiko for awhile then she quit.

  • wow are you a real Maiko or a cosplayer it be so awsome if a real one came on you tube

  • I will admit the yes I do have help when I dress as a maiko. I can in fact manage the layering process its the obi that is a pain. I can tie a darari (dangling maiko obi) on any one but my self. :P As for buying geisha/maiko specific kimono goods with out going to japan there are several good places on line to fined them.

would you like a list of places to get every thing for a full geisha or maiko out fit?

  • I know that you're not Japanese because I actually took the time to watch one of your videos. At the time I thought they might be interesting but the intrigue seemed short-lived. You can't possibly wear the sort of costume she is without proper help, without hiring a professional to dress you (because of the layering process), and without going to Japan to buy the many expensive (not to mention exclusive) kimono needed.

  • Considering that you have never seen me in person, How do you know that I am or I am not Japanese? I have invested in thousands of dollars worth of silk, headpieces, obi's, etc.
