i live in Rome and they are doing it outside my flat right now, on the plane trees lining the tiber river. it's hypnotic

We had flocks like this for two years across the street from us. They like to roost in 10 foot high fir trees here- and would swarm in late December to almost March. The flock was estamated at 1/4 million to half a million by the local extention agency. Amazing to watch- over a half mile wide area these swarms would work unitl settling in a area of about an acre. This is a great little movie : I watched this too at Westhay Moor on the Somerset Levels near Glasto in February this year & it was spectacular

I saw this recently near Blackpool North Pier. It's a really amazing spectacle. I couldn't believe how most people just walked by and didn't even notice.
