The more colorless Karpov's moves became the more the faces of his opponents colored.

Why is the last part in the video. The position is from the game Smyslov vs Ribli 1983, not from a Kasparov game.

The Smyslov Ribli Match was at the same time and place as The KAsparov Korchnoi match which this clip is from , I was there in London 83, Smyslov's performance probably best ever by a player over 60?

How would you know it's from that game? Do you memorize every game? I mean, that doesn't even look like a checkmate. wtf

Or I looked it up in a database :D.

Maybe, but the video still seems to cutoff.

"Though slim and of small stature, Karpov had notable powers of endurance. His style of play was without noticeable weaknesses; he tended to prefer defense to attack, inexorably building up minute advantages through flawless but colourless maneuvers to eventually achieve victory."

Let me get back to you about Tal...

Colorless? No, Karpov's style is winning and interesting in it's own way. To describe his style as colorless reveals an ignorance of chess.

Sorry, I do not think Karpov's style is colorless. I found this quote in a book somewhere...and as you can see, it's just some person's observation / opinion.

Please ignore the word "colorless."
