Persecution or Great Awakening

Are Christians in America headed for soon coming persecution? Paul Washer gives a warning for Christians to prepare. Please understand the cost for following Jesus Christ. Jesus said if they hated Me they will hate you. Jesus promised a reward for those who endure to the end. Read and remember Matthew 5 :10-16; 24; Luke 6:20 -36; 14:25-33; John chps.14,15,16. Stay encouraged in the Lord, saints. Study the scriptures like never before.

Now more than ever the admonishment of Eph. 5:14-16 rings clear for me: "Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil." Praise God for His faithfulness and His Word to keep us!

Thanks for all the encouraging comments! Today I read an article about not fearing. It highlighted Scripture from Luke 1:74-75, and Psalm 56:3,4,11 and others. Because the church has slept for so long after being drunk on the pleasures of this world or just lulled to sleep because of the peace we enjoyed, much time has been lost. But God is merciful and many are waking up! Keep sharing the truth of God's Word!!

@ericjarviscpa22 Here is a good example youtube.com/watch?v=BUdYsvA3wg­0 ... A lot of places in the workforce could get you fired for evangelizing at work... I did not get a job because of my views on same-sex relationships and abortion which ultimately stem from my faith. Many examples of people facing the justice system for praying. We still have our freedom, but it will die. Being labeled an "extremist" or "fundamentalist" doesn't really help me much either.

@ericjarviscpa22 "Practicing faith" is one thing, but freedom of speech is another... Christians are losing the freedom to preach the truth in Western Society.

If you keep telling yourself "We are going to be persecuted. They are coming after our children! We are going to be persecuted...." then you will be living a self-fulfilling prophesy.

We live in a country were you are free to practice whatever faith you believe. No one is sending Christians to jail as "child molesters".

If you want to know why people might "persecute" us? It is bc some of us give into this kind of paranoid crazy talk.
