My dad's twin engine 56 Ford. It can run on the motor in the cab, or off both the one in the cab and the one under the hood. They both have powerglide transmissions, and work both going through a transfer case then to the rear end. There is a lever that locks both throttles to the gas pedal. The main motor is a 383 Chevy and the secodary motor is a 355 Chevy. It has a trans am front clip, 12 bolt rear end, a fiberglass doghouse, and the bed is made from aluminum. Approx. 900-1000 hp with both motors running.

  • BAD to the Bone! I bet she's a hot box to ride in!!!!

  • @MrFatcat77 yes it is!! Thats why he never put a back window in it!! hahaha. It has heat insulation under the box inside, and if you look at the back of the bed by the cab, there is a slanted piece that has louvers in it. There is an electric radiator fan in front of the louvers that can be turned on and off that blows the hot air out. That helped a lot, originally it kept baking the plug wires about once a year. They would get so hot that the rubber would get bad and start arcing

  • There is a reason why a SBC is picked over a SBF.Cheap to get parts including availability of parts.Plus they are dirt cheap to build, you spend twice the money building the SBF.Ford has no interchange either,Ford loves pulling 6 month changes and the SBC has interchange. You can take a starter off a 4.3 and install it on a 350 with no problems. You get this question with a Ford starter at most parts stores: Automatic or Manual transmission?Ford starters are differant, the nose of the starter mainly

  • @wafrederick amen!!! Thanks!!

  • thats stupid. a ford with chevy motors for 1 thing....then 2 motors? just get 1 nice ass motor. get a nice 460 for under the hood and blow the damn thing and ur set

  • @s33dless1134 once again, there are thousands of big blown engine cars and trucks. This has the same amount of power, or you can run one and it is streetable. Read other comments and you would know that. Not ford motors because he was on a budget and already had chevy stuff

  • ford tough with chevy stuff

  • @ford42069

problem is, ford engines are not that great, every time ive ever had a ford engine, its always gone bad, thats not to say chevy is much better, but still a bit better than fords, every maker has their perks and flaws, unfortunately ford doesnt seem to be that great.

i myself havent had any problems with a dodge engine, they are built pretty tough, but they seem to lack the power i want.

  • @reeder77

not only that, but i find it unique, plus that is quite an interesting sound, im actually planning on getting a 56 myself, i want to turn it into a rat, right now its got a carbed 350 though, i wish i could find the old engine and build off of that though, just to see how it sounds.
