I'll answer that too. The 1982 version is FAR superior. It is a great play for any actor. The cast and location -Scranton- was perfect.

This is one of my favourite all time films. Bruce Dern is superb. Paul Sorvino acts his heart out. Martin Sheen is brilliant. Stacey K and Robert Mitchum played the role of their lives. What a film!

It's fair to say I like the 1982 & 1999 versions equally, but I like the 1999 version better 'cause of Vincent D'Onofrio.
