@ELHIEGER1 Yes we can. Find the Calguns.net forums and start reading. There are a couple different ways to be able to have one.

Enjoy your 2nd Amendment rights, our's are slowly dwindling in California. I cannot legally own an AR 15 in my state. -Eric

so with the flat top receiver AR15s, I can see how you might need a riser when mounting a scope...or perhaps you could just mount the scope to the carrying handle....in your opinion which is best?

@Alexn1067 … Both of my uppers are flat tops so no carrying handle. From what I can understand the lower the scope mount the better but you must have/leave enough room to work the charge handle……Donald

What kind of torque wrench is that?
I just got done mounting a Nikon 3-9x40 Coyote on an flat-top AR-15 using DNZ's two piece scope rings for Picatinny rails. I used the "high" height, "extra high" might have worked a little better.
Also, while it's not needed on .223, when I mounted a 50mm scope on a 300 Win Mag, I put a drop of Loctite on the scope tube where the rings make contact, I used Talley Fixed rings there.. 7 years of deer hunting and I've yet to have to adjust my zero.
