Fugue movement from the autograph manuscript of Bach's 'Great' organ Prelude and Fugue in E minor. One of his last major organ-works, the BWV 548 was written during his tenure in Leipzig. Score taken from BachDigital.com, edited by me.

NOTE:

*Some of the Fugue's score was penned into the autograph manuscript by Johann Peter Kellner for unknown reasons.

*The Fugue being written in an ABA structure, the last section of the Fugue was left unwritten, having "Da Capo" symbols dictating the player to play the first exposition verbatum. For educational purposes, I edited in the remaining score from the Bach-Gesellschaft Ausgabe.

  • I will add more informational annotations once I finish collecting information on this movement.

  • Who is the performer and on which organ?

  • @ALRAesurrection

I will look into that. I got this from a CD with many classical mp3's that was burned for me years back.
