can i ask: were you taking this faster than normal? because the marked tempo on my piece is 116-120 and with my metronome you were doing 140.

@picktownfball72 You're right - I clocked the tempo and it goes from about 132 - 140. Although it is faster than marked, I think it sounds appropriate for the movement and makes for an exciting performance.

I'm doing this for my 8th grade NYSSMA solo, so freakin' hard lol. I imagine this movement as the march of Johhny Depp and the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. It just sounds so demented and cool.

@hyperkkt I prepared my recital in about 3-4 months and played a total of 5 pieces - it's hard to say how much time I spent working on this piece, alone, but hopefully that answers your question.
