People forget that there were no dealer sticker prices before 1959. Buyers would see car prices listed in magazines ("priced from $1395!") which were virtually meaningless. Dealers set the prices and then beat the snot out of your on your trade in. This B-44 is super rare since the 1942 model year sales to the public ended on Jan 1 1942-- '42 model year cars had only been sold since Sep 1941.
