@KirbyOnCronic Yeah anime style would be something entirely different. The video is still very nice though, isn't it?

@gereatriczing mike portnoy founded DT and left 2011.

which drummer did they have when recording this? just asking :)

The male protagonist reminds me of Dave Gahan cocaine/rock star phase ca. 1993/4

The band based the song on Ivan Turgenev's "Phantoms" short story about an enigmatic woman who haunts a man as he travels the world.
-
One of the best shorter songs of the best band in the world!
Please check my synthcover of this song out!

Honestly, the man looks a lil bit like Mike Portnoy or am I completely wrong?
And hell, I love the style of this video, very, very nice

@TheFilter13 Cuckoo for Cocoa-Puffs! More batty than Dracula! Deck of all Jokers!
This is more than rock. It is epic. A colossal meld of virtuosos. And they pay tribute to the bands that inspired them... it is clear in so much of their work, striving to emulate their peers such as Styx, Journey and Whitesnake.
Rock on DT.

I'm still wrapping my head around this video, but my interpretation is that the woman isn't a ghost or a vampire, but some sort of higher spirit, like a succubus. Now when I say succubus I'm not talking the 'christian' version of what a succubus is, more the Pagan/occultist/real version. (Christianity's take on succubi and other such spirits is only propaganda, there's no such thing as 'evil demons from hell') When she bites him, she is freeing his soul from his body to fly away with her.
