On November, 2007 the most complex scientific instrument ever built will be switched on. The Large Hadron Collider promises to recreate the conditions in the early universe. By revisiting the beginning of time, scientists hope to unravel some of the deepest secrets of our Universe.
Within these first few moments the building blocks of the Universe were formed. The search for these fundamental particles has occupied scientists for decades but there remains one particle that has stubbornly refused to appear in any experiment. The Higgs Boson is so crucial to our understanding of the Universe that it has been dubbed the God particle. It explains how fundamental particles acquire mass, or as one scientist plainly states: "It is what makes stuff stuff..."

So they convinced people to spend 10 billion dollars so that they can figure out if its there or not. Seems to me scientists are the dumbest people on the planet. Waste 10 billion dollars so we can answer your question. Well answer my question please then.
How funny would it be if somehow it proved the existence of God? But God turns out to be a gnat that lives in an autistic child's matchbox. Also, Jesus existed but wrote the bible himself at the age of 80 because he was so pissed off with how boring his life had been, and just added the book of revelations as 'a bit of a laugh'. Then before he died he invented the crucifix and had his wife wear it as a strap-on, the tale of which got misconstrued as 'Jesus was strapped to the cross'. I'd laugh.
this large hadron collider thing is weird..its either gonna be a very expensive and well studied hamsters fart, an answer to all our questions, or suck us all into a pimple on a swiss badgers bum by mistake
