  • @MyGoldenGreg Actually neither are "off beat" - it's called syncopation.

  • The drummer is Mick White who plays in the Dirty Three. He's a highly regarded drummer. Steve Shelley and Dave Grohl are great drummers too, but Mick White's style is better suited for the songs on "The Greatest."

  • @benjaminhayesclark Jim White

  • Seriously? This is live music. Of course it's not all going to fit all easy like. It all works really well, don't scrutinise what you love so much. It's just another amazing live song by Chan.

  • Thank you, Merstheman. Sorry, I confused his first name with that of the Dirty Three guitarist, Mick Taylor. Anyway, I wasn't claiming that he played on "The Greatest" (Steve Potts did the drumming). I was merely offering an opinion that I thought Jim White's playing was better suited to Chan's music than Shelley or Grohl

  • @benjaminhayesclark His name is Jim White. And he didn't play on "The Greatest"

  • ♥♥♥

  • Chan needs to just play her own guitar for her songs. This guitar player is so off the first minute of the song, see how she looks back at the band, sayin get it together guys!

  • @DANOJEDA couldn't agree more. Sad tho,it's a great song and they actually started well.

Guess Cat Power sences it too,can see that in her look 00:37
