I bet they guy never changed the fuel filter and air filter so he put a tuner on it to improve performance and it started runnin realy bad and through a rod
-
Looks like they were digging hard to void the warranty. Why was the fuel filter dirty, because it foamed? Diesel foams... "I can see chunks on the bottom" don't ya think that could have come after you opened the lid? And a programmer will melt a piston before it puts a rod through the block.

looks like the cummins engine just cant hold in all it's nuts and bolts.... what the hell does a dirty air filter and fuel filter hae to do with that????? nothing.!
-
what the hell was the person doing
-
@wweenh drive it right and even a chevy with a 6.2 will last
-
Total misdiagnosis. Clowns are looking for something to void the warranty.
-
Too many RPMs is the ONLY thing that caused that. Not a dirty air or fuel filter.
-
with the low mileage and abuse i can only speculate that it wasnt broken in correctly i wouldnt plug a tuner into a diesel for at least 50K miles and i sure as hell wouldnt beat on it its a truck ..... not a racecar
That air filter looked clean to me.

dirty fuel and air filter wont make engine explode like this.
if anything itll make it less likely to go bang as it will hold the power back.
It must all be down to the tuner or a faulty rod bolt, always best to get F1 spec jobs.
