OK, now for YOUR reality check try to ride a bike at about 300 kph without a full face helmet on....

Yep hes right...but a helmet is.designed for a purpose

This guy is absolutely right! I don't drive a motor bike but I race bicycles and what he says is absolutely true in both cases. Most head injuries are not caused from direct impact, of which helmets are poorly equipped for, rather it's rotational injury. Your head is basically a ball attached to one pint so it rotates easily. A helmet increases the circumference of the diameter of your head and therefor increases the lever on which it will rotate during impact by 30%.

This guy is a nazi and a wannabe, banning eating drinking cell phones. Where did he get his wannabe cycle garb, easy rider ghetto wear, just ride your motorcycle, stop being a poser.

Helmet might not completely protect you in a crash but it helps. It also helps keep your head safe from road rash and small debris that might get lodged into your scalp if you crash. Always wear a helmet.

Here's my reality check: if your brain is injured in a crash while not wearing a helmet, you shouldn't be eligible for publicly funded medical treatment for that brain injury. You can be reckless with your life & brain but don't be reckless with the money that others have to forfeit out of their paychecks to our gov't that has to end up taking care of fuck-ups like this dunce who seems to think accidents only happen at hi speed on the freeways. Parking lots& your own st. are quite dangerous too.

this guys a fuckin' TOOL! yea, you don't need a helmet. not much left up there to protect. i get what your saying

has anyone every watched AMA races when they crash they are doing around 120 to 160mph and walk away from it. if they did not have their PPE gear im pretty sure they all would be 6ft under.

This guy's a hardcore fool. And it seems to me that the MSF says you need to wear a helmet. I'm comfortable as hell riding my cruiser and don't wear all the PPE unless I have to, but I almost always wear my golves, good boots, long pants and helmet. Sometimes I don't wear the helmet for quick >1 mile trips, but that's a bad habit.
As far as the effectiveness of the helmet, in case of a crash, I'd much rather have my helmet skidding on the pavement than my head.

this guy, is the biggest fucking idiot i have ever seen.
This guy is an IDIOT. I went down at 25 mph without a helmet in 1999. It took me two years to learn to walk again and 5 years before I could get a job. I still can't do the simple things I wish I could. If I had a helmet it would have been a scratch. So don't listen to this ass clown. Wear a helmet, because having your wife , spoon feed you isn't cool.
