On July 17, 2010, Disneyland celebrated its 55th anniversary with a special dedication in Town Square featuring the Disneyland Band, Disneyland Resort president George Kalogridis, a choir of children, and other special guests.
@adwestmediairvine I just thought it might have been because Spanish is the unofficial/official language in the US Disney parks. All the safety spiels are said in Spanish.
I was there. I got to be the first family in the park that day. It was not as crowded as I thought it was going to be. The wait times were reasonable because people were doing other things, not just riding rides. Although it was so hot, it had to be over a hundred degrees.
I was in the choir on the right stairwell. Very top to the right wearing a white shirt.
