  • How many times my Grandma and I began a day's adventures by climbing onboard a trolley at High and Broad in Bethlehem!! We'd end up as close as the Boyd just down Broad, shown early in this film, to see a movie, or out the Hellertown theater across from the slag heaps, or Central Park (amusement park) or all the way out to Dorney Park on the open-sided car for Dorney service only.

Thank you for your comment. I am happy that the video brought back memories for you. I remember the LVT well too.

  • My son-in-law sent me this AMAZING Memory of my very young years! AWESOME. I rode the trolley since I was 14 years old - Until I was 19! Memories are made of this!!!!

  • remember those trollies rides with the my chrildren love them so did my kids great memories

  • THIS IS GREAT!!! We really enjoyed this and the sites in the background are all areas we grew up around.

  • Thanks a lot. Great to see Kratzser School ( very old memory rekindled ) and the ole Ballantine Beer sign above the Cement Building on the southeast corner of 7th and Hamilton. I noticed the elevated traffic control just to the west of Soldiers' Monument. The trolley seems to be turning at 15th & Hamilton into what became the parking lot for the original Brass Rail ( great steaks ), right ? Is that the Boyd Theatre in the 6th and Hamilton shot towards the end of the video?
