Any person who has been to more than one Bogmen show will know that an encore will always include The Bogmen classic "Englewood" which, for the crowd, means a crescendo induced euphoria unlike any other in the music world!
This pantless performance was from May 21, 2010 at the Highline Ballroom in support of The Bogmen's first release in 13 years!!! For more info on new EP "Lookin for Heaven in the Barrio" go to http://www.thebogmen.com/
As The Bogmen head into the final part of the song, the crowd takes over the vocals by wailing "ohhhhhh-ohhh, ohhhh-ah-ooooo" as lead singer Billy Campion begins his legendary spin, which is believed to represent everything from being drunk and having the spins to the lives of Campion and the band spiraling out of control.
After performing his ass off for 90 minutes or more, you begin to realize the spiral is as much athletic as it is artistic.
Perhaps not known to many, Bill Campion had back surgery just weeks before this performance (05.21.10 - Highline Ballroom). He has literally sacrificed his body for his performances and love of the fans, known affectionately as "The Extended Family".
Sorry for the video quality, but Bogmen fans will find this video fun!
