Dude, you're awesome.... There are certain elements in your life, that I hope to have in my own someday soon. The best to you and your beautiful family.

well... only scientifically. in a culinary / edible sense things tend to get a bit blurry. the whole thing (copra and all) is technically a 'fruit' but you really only eat the fatty inside of the seed. the "fleshy" part of the coconut palm fruit is really the dense fiber outside of the nut itself... which is of course inedible. so yes, it is the seed which is eaten, and the seed is found inside of the fruit.

Pual, Paul Pual!! you know that's not true. It's like eating apple seeds and saying you ate a fruit.

with mameys you have to scratch the scurfy skin a bit to check the color. it can be ripe at smaller size, depends on duration of being on the tree more than size. excellent flavor description- cherry w/ pumpkin pie. great fruit.
i've been planting a bunch of these. have them all except ackee... plus a bunch more. jaboticabas might be my favorite. definately prolific! i recommend them to everyone.

all seeds are fruits. scientifically. "fruit" implies it is seed bearing.
