Subtitle: Reconciling Deeply Held Faith with Honest Doubt

Most Christians spend a lifetime in churches where mystery is denied and doubt is unwanted. The purpose of Deepest Thanks, Deeper Apologies is to see the reality of God's love in unanswered questions and to experience the mystery of faith. . .to find Him waiting there.

This book is for those of us who have failed at being doubt-free but whose passion for God remains steadfast. It's for those who have been confused by the world—and perhaps even by their own desires—and still long to connect with a loving God who forgives and embraces us. It's for those who wonder at how our personal failures and uncertainties can make our faith mature—and yet who can believe that somehow these wrestlings also make our need for God complete. Combining incredibly candid reflections and insights from the author with rich reminders for every man and woman's spiritual journey, Deepest Thanks, Deeper Apologies springs from a deep desire not to explain mystery, or to remove doubt, but to encourage mystery and raise doubt—for all who dare to be honest.

  • Thank you for being such an inspiration. We can't wait to read this. Great gift idea too, we know a lot of soul searchers, looking for that deeper meaning. All our love! Janna & Mark

  • I am a worship leader at my church and I have doubt everyday but I am not allowed to show it because I am supposed to be reassuring the congregation. I feel like a fraud sometimes. I can completly relate and will be buying your book. Also one of my goals is to save enough money to buy an original commissioned painting from you. That would be a lot of fun!

  • I have been so blessed to grow up with someone like you to talk to and learn from...now the rest of the world gets the opportunity to hear your thoughts and feel encouraged in their own personal and unique journey with God. I am so proud of you Dad!!
