The Triple Dog GT provides the power that is necessary to pull long grades. For this test, we will use a 2011 6.7L Ford to tow our fifth wheel up a 2.5 mile pass with a vertical climb of over 600 feet near Bancroft, ID. Our goal is to reach the speed limit as quickly as possible from a stop, and then maintain that speed. This will demonstrate both acceleration up a hill and the ability to maintain speed up a grade. For the first test we will leave the truck completely stock. Following that test, we will install the Bully Dog Tow Tune using the Triple Dog GT Diesel, and run the exact same test.

  • at 1min 40 seconds it shows a dodge pulling the trailer up the hill, i thought this was a powerstroke test.

  • @83medic at 1:40 it shows A Dodge pulling A trailer - this wasn't a closed loop test, we were driving with other vehicles on the road. This was simply showing that the truck had not reached the top of the grade for the stock climb at that point.

  • how would this work in older diesel trucks? like a 2001 dodge cummins?

  • @breezyatv90 Unfortunately the GTs are only compatible with the 2003 and up Cummins engines, so this particular scenario wouldn't be possible. We do sell mechanical upgrades like pyros and intakes however, and the WatchDog would work fine as well (provides monitoring, but no tuning).

  • horrible video

  • @Kickthe3 What about the video was horrible? We welcome constructive criticism, and want our videos to be both interesting and informative. However, pointless or baseless criticism is just that, and will result in removal of your comment. Thanks!

  • wow! 19 seconds faster...

  • as a editor of such videos I would agree you need a static secondary view on the instrument cluster showing the engines speed, and how hard it's working.

  • Very good video!!
