  • does this take into account that ppl actually fight back!! i guess not

  • actually these are drills except at 33 seconds when Ryabko was challenged by a prison guard

  • excellent,

there is so much good stuff in systema, but there is also some stuff that looks very questionable (to an outsider) I think we need more clips of experienced people giving serious attacks so we can see how it can be done.

  • That's Rob Green, who is (or was) a security guard at a maximum-security prison. He wanted to try a realistic attack that he's seen be successful for inmates. He was a doubter, but "coverted" over to Systema after that incident. He gives a pretty candid write up of it on the Systema Forum. (NYCRonin, or RobGreen, I think).

  • Jeez! I've heard of this video. Mikhail went straight to the brutal short work on poor Rob. A very to the point answer for Rob's question on whether Systema works.

  • i see what you mean. What he said is really true, but the last "knife fight", wasnt staged. Like i said before. It was a a guard from prison challenging the master. ^^

  • the last scene was not staged. ^^you can see different clips, with sound, than you will notice, that it really works. ^^

  • actually this system was partially designed for people who are fighting back. and in applicaton, most of the moves they demonstrate are done so quickly and with such force that fighting back isn't much of an option.

  • Hey, wait a minute here!

That guy with the knife trying to stab the instructor is the same big guy that looked like he was getting electrocuted by a small hit.

He's also the same guy that looked like a big sleepy puppy when he put his head gently on the other guy's shoulder and slept like a sleepy bunny.

Something strange is going on here.

Why, after the knife attack, does the big sleepy puppy/bunny man clap like a beached Walrus?

    Ever see a Walrus clap?

    Very odd indeed.

    Kind of funny!

  • i got in a knife fight on the street and it happened just like this

  • I just think the clips need to be explained and put into context. Otherwise it would be misinterpreted.

  • erm that has to be the slowest and most telegraphed 'test' I've ever seen
