  • Well, it is like getting married, in a way. I think that's how most grooms look - and perhaps rectors are in a similar spot.

  • DG, the answer is nope. ;-)

  • Is Tory British? Or is this a new affectation now that y'all are "Anglican."

  • The celebrant is the bishop (who was born in England). Tory is the one in white with the black stole and he's American.

  • This is a break from tradition. Protestant churches have been "Americanized" here in the USA to fit the PEOPLES needs, instead of the traditions GOD handed down.

  • I LOVEEEEE IT

    ABSOLUTELY WODERFUL!

I wish that our anglican services could be like this.....our congregation would GROW iwth so many young people!.

often young people are turned away from the anglican church because of the "boredom" of the liturgical rituals but if we were to do this, and put some of the young people on the drums and piano, we could really save some souls and be a true church for once!

  • @739richard Thank you for your kind words; yes I think it could be an example for other Lutheran churches..the mass and the vestments were never abolished in Sweden and the historic episcopate never broken. In High church lutheran vespers 4 - recessional, hymn and blessing and ESC winner attending the high mass on Whitsun you see two Anglican bishops, differently dressed..the latter is a low church congregation but the priest still wear the chasuble and have a solemn recessional.

  • @karpov89 Inclined to agree with you. I have no idea why using the correct vestments causes a problem - Dr Luther certainly used them along with all the other ceremonies surrounding the Mass (see the Augsburg Confession) - but having said that it is a question of practice not theology so we should not be dogmatic. By the way I think all your video clips of Lutheran Liturgy are great - it is wonderful to see the church of Sweden retains its Lutheran heritage in such purity.

  • @739richard I think it should be compulsory for the bishop to wear a chasuble, or the cope if he is not the celebrant. I have been to services in Sweden when bishops from the Anglican Church has participated..the last one was low church and only wore the alb and stole..a pity, the mitre and cope were missing.

  • @karpov89 @karpov89 The Bishop is wearing a Chimere - this is a uniquely Anglican garment for a Bishop - it is NOT a vestment (although he is wearing a stole). Some low church Anglican reject the use of the vestments but 'High' church Anglican's have most of the practices and vestments that you use in your beautiful Lutheran liturgies.

  • is for real?!

  • "Howbeit in vain do they worship me,

teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." Mark 7:7

Utter blasphemy, as is the entire catholic "church".

  • Well the bishops is a good singer at least..is he wearing a chasuble or something else? This must be low church, even high church can be charismatic, at least it is so in the Chuch of Sweden.

  • WOW I have never seen communion like this but our Anglican church is starting out we just turned a year old. I met Bishop Minn at our church concencration he is a wonderful man!
