Every year Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum runs their popular North Pole Limited trains. They travel the normal route at a very slow pace to a nicely dressed East Chattanooga depot.

I went on a chilly 29 degree night wearing only a thin layer of clothing, and caught some good and some bad footage. I caught Santa sneaking up to the depot at "the North Pole" before the train arrived. Then one of the neighbors (this is an intercity location) decided to do donuts in in the parking lot and stayed to watch the train arrive.

Norfolk Southern provided some nice horn and whistle action too.

TVRM also runs a dinner train (it wasn't running the nice I was there). They nicely left its generators on and created some some horrid background noises.

I was also there on the night PBS was on the scene filming. So be on the look out for a show on this.
