Oh get a grip, Jody has trained hard for four years and was justifiably devastated that all that training and preparation was wasted by a faulty starting machine. Those that don't understand that simple fact should keep their comments to themselves. Jody should have been given a restart and it is a travesty that he wasn't.

I have a friend who has met Joe and has said he is one of the nicest men in cycling. Not being given a restart (when it has been given to others) is completely wrong and the commissaire was completely wrong. The frustrations must be immense, and those who go on about footballers are completely missing the point that whilst they are fffing and blinding at each other, this is not one bad decision that has cost the 4 yrs of work. The cameraman was trying to make off the back of his misfortune..

To everyone out there... if you were in his position how would you react? with four years of constant work, sacrifice and dedication wasted because of some pathetic, un-thoughout rule and a starting gate ( neither of which is your fault). At your own olympics too... i would have reacted just like that if not worse!

so, when philip hindes and his team is allowed to restart after faking a mechanical problem it's right cause it's not written in the offcial rules.....

and when, this guy is rightly disqualified for right reasons, the uci rules and commisaires are wrong.....
