This type of American imperial strategy is destroying the only base of income that poor American citizens have. And it does not matter what shade of brown legal citizen you are, we are all being hurt by this. It prevents them from even fighting for their equality, in health, resource, education, family etc. because they have their economic safety net is washed out from underneath them. This also allows for the mass smuggling of drugs into inner cities disproportionately hurting Black Americans.

In fact, the only thing that would be commonly cited as racist, or even that can be said he reflexively votes with Rep. are his votes on immigration. Now let me ask you, is it racist to support national sovereignty? Or to protect Legal American residents from the flight of jobs out of America or to refugees from countries who have been destabilized by American policies through the IMF and covert CIA and special forces actions? These policies which create an influx of what amounts to slave labor?

Does he send Americans to die killing middle eastern people? The major proportion of those Americans sent over were Black and Hispanic. Did he support the patriot Acts one and two? No to neither. Does he support the drug wars? Did he vote with democrats, against republicans, to allow the negotiation of drug prices on HR 4? Yes. Military commisions? No with the Dem. majority. Yes on HR 2863, No on 5825, Yes on 2862, Yes on H Rev 5, You can look these up yourself.

This argument is about Ron Paul. I cannot say much about this other gentleman. All I can speak on is the facts of Ron Paul's policies not only proposed but supported and his voting record. This can be easily found online. Ron Paul has been against the wars. Do you think he would vote against the war if he was truly affiliated with radical racists of which the majority support war? If you want to Identify racism don't look to whether he voted down policies of gov. spending.

We can defeat racism not by labeling each other based on questionable characterizations, but rather by looking directly at policies for their content. That means ignoring their nonsense names and moving toward the meat and bones. Beauty is only skin deep but character is part of the soul. Ron Paul's policies will help African Americans in a way that other politicians cannot even begin to approach. Get rid of of the fed, get rid of government racism and give everyone a fair system, a fair chance.

Minorities do not need a crutch. I am a Brazilian/American and I am proud to be just that. African, Native, Chinese, Irish and all other Americans simply need the same opportunity awarded to them as other choice cultures or races that in habit this beautiful country. If we would face the origins of these problems in a historical context they would likely be solved. Instead we allow empire to play semantic games with our lives. The human race needs goals and family not brutal enforcement.

They are then worked like slaves and used to displace poor whites who will not work for the same meager wages as they speak perfect English and expect a higher standard of living. This is class warfare at its finest. The same way the imperialistic British system would import African slaves into countries to pit against populations competing for fair wages. They would kill those which did not go along. These tended to be proud natives on home turf. Unbroken, they would not play the game.

These ideals of equal opportunity and human rights are often co-opted by the corrupt in order to push agendas which negatively affect the rest of the populous. Take the example of illegal immigration into America. Rather than try to force the Mexican government to fix their own social problems, we pump our highly subsidized agro-exports into the country displacing poor farmers of corn and wheat causing them to flee across the border into the US.

This can be accomplished by raising the standard of living for the poorest and most disadvantaged. That type of progress would call for the building up of important infrastructure for transportation, housing, health-care, energy etc. Mind you I am not saying that suburbanization is the key, rather that we should clean and fix the facilities for human life that already exist. This would foster equality over time as an educated, healthy and well-fed group of any race can foster it's culture.

I apologize for the accusation I made, however if you look at the ratings compared to the initial comment I made, in the context of the debate which we are having, you can see how I found it suspicious.

As for the Civil Rights Act, you can very easily find Ron Paul's stance online. The act was the catalyst which in turn lead to the set up of racial quota systems, arguably one of the most racist aspects of our currents system. Again, rather than force equality we must plant the seeds of it.
