Travelling through China... Buddhist Cerimony Preparation

Curious fact: look at all the fruit Buddhists use in their cerimonies.

I shot these videos when I visited China, in August 2005. I stayed in Beijing, Xi An, Chongqing - from where I took a 3-days cruise till Shangai through the Yang-Tze river.

It's an amazing country! Their culture, the buddhist temples, the food... almost everything is impressive there, at least to the eyes of a Western.
Of course, this is a country that still has a lot to do in matters of Energy Policies and Human or Animal Rights violations.

I'm glad I visited the land of what many people call the "most important economic and political phenomena of our time".

@allknowfather yes idols are evil cause they are silent but "deity" that tell men to kill people who SPEAK bad about him LEV 24:16 is GOOD?idols who dont speak are evil but a "spirit" who tells men to KILL their own mothers if they leave their religion is obviously GOOD,i dont worship idols i worship the eternal Buddha the image is a sign of devotion(like picture of jesus and passions of the christ):)also dont own slaves its wrong also dont sel ur child into slavery its wrong EX 21:7.

@allknowfather the statement made is not true of true Christians, but of Christendom as a whole. A true worshiper does not use images in worship. The saying goes in the scriptures. The piece of wood they cut and first make a fire and feed themselves, then they use the same tree and carve it and turn it a image and bow down to it and worship it......

@allknowfather This coming from a religion where the people fall all over the image of Jesus and/or Mary and speak of their god in gender specific nouns. And has "darkened hearts" to the point that they are overzealous of damning everybody who doesn't follow in their footsteps.... I think I'd look at the post in my own eye before pointing at the splinter in others'...
