We take a look at the threat of deportation that non-citizen veterans of American wars continue to face despite US military promises of citizenship. We talk to Rohan Coombs, a Jamaican-born U.S. vet who was in the US marine corps for six years and served in the Persian Gulf War. He spent eight months in prison for a marijuana-related conviction. The day he was to be released he was told he would be deported. He speaks to us from an immigration jail. We also speak with immigration attorney Craig Shagin.

I'm a Republican who retired from the Army a few years ago and I'm against any US military veteran ever being deported. Anyone who is willing to fight for our rights is entitled to have them himself. If a Timothy McVeigh goes bad and starts killing Americans we can execute him here. We don't send him to some other country taking his American military training with him. That's damn stupid.

How do soldiers end up in Jail and in trouble. I will tell you how. When we come home people dont care or appreciate our service. When you get home and get out of the military you are left with trying to adapt into a society that you have no clue how to function in. As for serving and that being a get out of jail card brotha thats your problem, Hoaa...

They do this to all vets. The majority of homeless men on America's streets are vets. Some say 200,000, I believe it's more than that. If you gonna play with the beast, expect to be bitten!
