Legends of rugby, and over 3,000 fans, flocked to Franklin's Gardens to pay tribute to Tom Smith, a true great of the modern game who is retiring at the end of the season after nearly 200 Saints appearances, 61 Scotland caps and six test appearances for the British and Irish Lions.
what a legend - thanks Tom!

I play in a match with Tom Smith in 95 up in Dundee when Huddersfield RFC where on tour there, he play lose-head for a Dundee XV on the Sunday, I was hooking, he was the best player on the pitch by a country mile, he had a dummy like a scrum-half and a side step like a winger, I feel truly hounded to have played on the same pitch as a man who has played for the Lions in 6 test matchs! And Im glad to say that we won!
