Stop Driving Like A Jerk

This is 2 weeks and 1 day after the crash, or 12 days after the last surgery. I hope this reminds people that their vehicle is a weapon. The injury was mainly to the Talus, which was fractured in three places as well as two other minor broken bones. Also lots of shredded tissue due to the high energy of the impact the bone actually explodes and this destroys all surrounding tissue as well as any connected tendons. Full mobility can be restored if restoration of the Talus is successful after the application of many friendly screws. Two rods were also installed to replace shattered bone structure. The thing I will never forget about this one is the guy that hit me talking on the phone and saying" Well he says his foot is broke but it don't look broke." Frikin moron.

damm dude no good! i was road racing (on a race track) this last saturday and came down in a corner. i did a few flips and landed on my ankle completely shattering my talus into seven pieces! the doctors said they cant operate on my ankle because its in so many pieces! so i just gotta wait for three months in a cast until it heals!

Man that is much worse. I remember having to accept that they would have to fuse the bones together and I could never run again. In the end I got lucky the bone lived somehow and I hope the same happens to you.

Either way I was happy that being a DJ only requires 2 hands and not 2 feet.

I have a shattered talus too!!! I fratured mine straight through the neck and it shattered off the sides! I did mine on the motocross track though! I feel your pain dude! Heal up quick!

I hope your surgeon was as good as mine. I got very lucky Dr. Dennis Cheney was on call that night. Otherwise I do not know I would be walking as straight as I am. Hope you heal up soon as well and have fun with your new and improved swagger.

Our state legislature in their ultimate wisdom and greed passed a law capping most bodily injury claims at 25k while my bills are over 50k. I did say most but it has not been easy to find a lawyer with the balls to do anything but get the quick money available after 3rd party billing. It is a nest of vipers for sure.
