I find it Ironic that most SA whites only emigrate to multiracial countries like USA, Canada, and Oz where being white has clear benefits. Where will they go when the minority population catches up? I know they're certainly not welcomed in Arab, black, Asian, and many other countries. That only leave potentially Europe if my muslim brothers have not dominated yet by the next century.

@Microglia1 The Whites South Africans emigrate to the places you note due to sharing understanding in a common language spoken in those places but I would direct your attention to the fact that this video is talking about the Boer people & not White South Africans who have always OUTNUMBERED the subjugated Boer people. Furthermore I would point out that there are numerous Boers all throughout Africa as there has been ever since 1903 after the second Anglo-Boer War.

This is not possible as the Boers were never from Holland in the first place [ their ancestors were only seeking refuge in Holland from Catholic persecution ] & developed as a distinct homegrown culture on African soil. Neither could most even afford to go even if they wanted as per their lower economic status. No one would suggest that "going back to Asia" is as legitimate redress of Amerindian concerns therefore no one should assert the same concerning the Boers who know no other continent.

Furthermore: a report in the Rapport newspaper noted that 1 million White Afrikaans speakers are living under the poverty line. When considering the fact that the Boers historically are the poorest segment of the White Afrikaans population this statistic then denotes the fact that half if not most folks of Boer descent are the ones living under the poverty line as the Cape Dutch descendents have traditionally always been a bit better off but poverty is starting to affect them too now.

@Pinard7 I find it hypocritical that you separate "boer" and "white people". This distinction is not made under apartheid not does it matter anywhere else in the world for that matter. All boers are white people, and they all benefit immensely under apartheid. They continue to benefit when they immigrate to other countries-Australia, Canada, USA, and elsewhere. A boer who immigrates to any of the aforementioned countries could see their kids being presidents...not so much for other groups.

@Microglia1 I live in the Netherlands the place where most "Boeren" come from. Some of them immigrate here after they have suffered this situation and most have not learned from it. They are still racist even though they experienced it themselves. Of course if they are not they are welcome in the Carribean but they have to know their place as I have to know here and keep their mouths shut.

I feel for these poor whites - in a sense they were the ultimate marginalised group in SA - but this Africa - and in comparison to most Africans (which they are) they are doing ok - South Africa is a country with big gaps between rich and poor - it's eat or be eaten

there is a ceratin segment of the "boers" that are poor - they have always been there - post the the 2nd Boer war there was immens posverty amongst the boers - a lot however was done to solve this - and by the sixties those "boers" who by now were more using the term Afrikaners had uplifted themselves to a very wealthy per capita group - those afrikaners that call themselves poor were not poor they were filling blue collar trades reserved for whites - once these jobs were opened up - well....

I guess the British whites were a little better off than their Boer counterparts. Something to do with "old money," I suppose.

South Africa will probably go the way of Rhodesia--no whites left, basically.

The reason is probably there is less Christian influence in the whole world year after year. Many won't believe due to propaganda.

Another couple bad things is that the new government is more communistic in their economic philosophy, And the whites are a small Minority, not a majority.
