  • i deeply desire to learn from this guy, denis lavant. i don`t know what he is doing right now. guess he is acting on stage. i`ve admired him for a long time. this man is free in his movements. his face is brutal and funny at the same time. constant danger to laugh or to hurt. and i mean real freedom like i`ve rarely seen.

  • In my opinion, his "merde" monster on carax´s piece is one of the most incredible and disturbing things ever concieved physicly by an actor in the last 30 years. It´s almost a miracle. he´s Lorca´s DUENDE!

  • i agree, "merde" was out of this world. it was like a real demon caught on celluloide. Can anyone name similar performanes? what technique did he use for "merde"? was there even a concept? The merde-ish language was just so impeccable performed, marvellous.

  • he's horny

  • Rent the "Lover on the Bridge" featuring Juliette Binoche, you'll be mesmerized by his performance. it's simple frightening to watch him in this movie. I was speechless watching his character.

  • Denis Lavant has such magnetism on and off screen - can't take my eyes off that extraordinary face of his!

  • incredible. does anybody else move like this guy? how did this workshop thing come about?
