http://www.problogger.net - Sometimes bloggers can be a little short sighted by simply viewing what they're doing as 'blogging' - this post explores why having a bigger picture view can be worthwhile.
I think of myself as a web publisher, like you said blogs are so 2006, you have to offer a website with videos, photographs, articles, links to social media and also for your own benefit its best to sell a few products. I would say 5 different products maybe passive ones like e-books.
I am a fan of problogger and I visit the website every day, I prefer to read the new posts in the problogger surroundings!. Thanks Darren!. I would say your my biggest mentor for blogging and Kidrobot is my niche.
Blogs are a metaphysical thing, they are an extension of you, they are who you are and reflect who you are. I see blog as being an energy and reflective of the bloggers life force and energy, by setting the right intentions or having the right thoughts behind your blog 'to help others' for example it makes your blog resonate just that and it draws people in. People are looking for energy, and the life force, they are looking for the roots of creativity , communication, inspiration ultimately.
As somone who is thinking about "web publishing", I am glad you point out how to position yourself in a more expansive role than that of "just" blogging. In my mind, a blogger is someone who has a conversation with an audience. A web publisher does this too, but goes beyond the dialogue to present content that drives ideas, connections, improvements, changes, links, etc. Thanks.
Darren, just found your videos, though I am familiar with problogger. These are fabulous.
As a mommyblogger/ parenting blogger, I've tried to focus on simply building a solid blog with interesting content, however I am looking toward promotion with BlogHer coming up. So glad to have finally looked into you.
