David "The Cobra Kid Weathers" behind the scenes footage at the Weathers Ranch.

For those of you who don't know who David Weathers is, he is a professional venomous snake handler and animal trainer. He has appeared in many different TV shows on Discovery Channel, Discovery Health and Animal Planet. He was featured in MTV's WildBoyz series, NBC Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and various other shows on cable television along with making a guest appearance in the movie Jackass Number 2 and Jackass 3D.

I was lucky enough to stop by his little ranch in southwest Florida while he was filming some new material for his website. The first part of the video below, David talks about his animals. In the second half of the video, David performs some of his snake handling skills with three different cobras.

Yes that was not a typo; just a few feet in front of the camera at one point there were three very large and very unhappy snake's in front of me and the other photographers shooting content for his website.

I learned that the snakes like warm weather but they did not like the very hot weather that was happening that day in Florida. David had a few of what I would call "Close Calls" with the snake's but he made it seem just like a day at the office.
