ipod nano placed in a tin of water

My roommate's ipod nano had an issue where the hold got stuck and apple would not replace it. So since it wouldn't work as a music player anymore we placed it in a tin of water to see how long it would last. Surprisingly it last while we put it in, you can't see the screen all that well but it is one while in the water, and the quick blur of voice you here is "oh shit hold came off" since we thought it would just get submerged and stop working, instead it solved the problem the hold being stuck haha.
