@biffen89 sure but they still resemble like fish even if they aren't. Nature has an amazing way of adapting that even two very unrelated animals because they live in the same environment evolve essentially identical forms of locomotion.

Problem... Man doesn't learn from history. Climate changes combined with man's overhunting is what made the mammoth extinct. Large animals just don't populate quickly enough to compensate. The Whales are facing the same situation, but with an added bane. Our world's oceans are being polluted. Mercury is becoming a big issue. So all this added up almost guarantees extinction of the Whales! But the whalers DON'T CARE. They'll just move on and eat something else into extinction

@biffen89 I think he was just trying to make a simplified analogy for viewers who dont know anything about whales

The old guy in the red jacket seems to not know so much about whales. He says that whales look like big fishes and that you need to look inside to see that it's a mammal. This is clearly wrong.
First of all, the fins. If you look at the whales "arm" fins, you'll find that it has bones that look like fingers. So, that must mean that it once had paws. Also, it's swimming up and down, instead of sideways, like a fish. It's the same motion an animal does while running.
