What is The Atheist Experience?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas geared at an atheist and non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin (ACA), a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

  • According to the christian bible, the god character commanded the cold-blooded killing of all the inhabitants of entire cities, including non-humans, because it was angry at one person. That's not moral, that's psychopathic.

Jesus is moral? Is it moral to demand the execution of those who are unwilling to be his slaves?

Luke 19:27 "But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me."

  • @uplandassault I agree with everything you wrote, except that the U.S. is a "Christian country," unless you mean it in the sense that lots of christians live here. It certainly wasn't created to be a christian nation. In fact, the U.S. Constitution is a secular document that created a secular nation.

  • @mickwillie1 I hope you're a Poe. But, just in case you're not... A doll doesn't feel pain. A doll wouldn't burn "for eternity." If you honestly don't see the difference, religion has fried your brain.

  • Justice? Burning alive for all e-fucking-ternity is JUST???

Well if I had known that, I wouldn't have sent my daughter to her room for half an hour for sneaking cookies from the kitchen cabinet; I would have just set her on fire.

  • @carmium I asked my mother a similar question recently. I asked "If you really had 'the truth', shouldn't it be so blatantly obvious that I simply have no choice but to believe it?"

Her response was "No, because Satan is blinding the eye of the wicked one."

So, in turn, I asked "So Satan is powerful enough to distort God's divine message and fuck up his plans?"

She simply told me "...Satan has ahold of you." and walked away.

brock lesner best watch the fuck out!

  • Ultimate Judge, Juror and executioner. All experience in history saying 'hey that never EVER ends well' be damned.

  • If it is so evident that God exists, why, every week, are Christians turning themselves inside out trying to prove it with Bible quotes and twisted logic? Shouldn't it be completely obvious to everyone? The greatest power in the universe, who created Earth, life and the human brain in particular, can't figure out a better way to announce his presence than an ancient, self-contradictory confabulation of primitive legends? That alone should shake every believer's faith!

  • You know our country (USA) who is a Christian country would find a person guilty and insane if that person killed or "sacrificed" their child because god told them to. And your friends would think you're crazy if you said a snake talked to you. What I wanna know is how someone can believe a book and then say that's crazy in reality? My answer: religious people are bat-shit insane. You don't believe things you see in a Harry Potter movie so, why the bible?
