  • @Breathlless as shown in the video, the plaque builds up under the first inner layer of the blood vessel, so to speak.

    Damaging that layer to scrape off the atherosclerosis causes thrombosis, internal bleeding and most of all a whole lot of cholesterol embolisms, we don't want that :)
