Chp 1 *flashback*
Cesars POV
As I walked through the doors of the church, I was stunned as I saw over a hundred pairs of eyes look at me. I was trying to make myself as unnoticeable as possible, but that wasnt really working out. Monica was walking so fast, I actually had to run a little to catch up to her
Cesar: mon, why are here?
Monica: Im looking for my cousin
Cesar: in a church?
Monica: her entire family goes to church every Sunday. She doesnt have a choice
Cesar: oh
Monica: the service is over now, so Im gunna go talk to her ok?
Cesar: fine, just hurry up cause everyone's staring at me
Monica: *she laughed* that's cause of your tattoos *she walked off*
I looked down at my arms, and then looked up to realize that they really were looking at my tattoos. I laughed to my self, knowing that these people probably thought I was the devil or something. Now because I don't like to be the center of attention, I turned around and walked all the way to the back of the church. Unfortunately, Monica was now nowhere to be found. I scanned the entire room until I finally found her and wondered what was talking her so long. But then I couldnt even pull my eyes away from the girl next to her. Then I noticed Monica coming back over to me

Monica: ok, lets go
Cesar: wait, that girl was your cousin?
Monica: yea, why?
Cesar: shes really pretty *he said while staring at her cousin*
Monica: oh no! I know where this is going. Im not introducing you to her
Cesar: why not?!
Monica: cause every girl I set you up with, you date her, mess around with her, and then you never talk to her again!
Cesar: thats not true!
Monica: yes it is!
Cesar: look, I promise I wont do that, I just wanna meet her...plz
Monica: *sighs* fine
As we started to walk up to her cousin, I began to get more and more nervous. Id never felt so anxious to meet a girl in my life. When Monica called her name, she turned around and looked at Monica, then at me, smiled, and then back to Monica

Monica: Rach, I want you to meet someone. This is my friend Cesar. Cesar, this is my cousin, Rachel
Rachel: *she looked at Cesar* hi

As she smiled, I got completely distracted by her stain glass eyes. They were a shade of envy green which kind of intimidated me every time she blinked. I hadnt even realized that both her, and Mon were looking at me with confused faces cause I wasnt responding. I was just standing there. She probably thought I was weird. But as Monica hit me with her elbow, I lost my train of thought and finally came back to earth and said "hey" then managed to smile at her. As I was about to continue our very awkward conversation, someone came up behind her and kissed her cheek
"hey sweetie"
Rachel: oh hi daddy

Daddy? daddy?! Thats her father?! As I looked at what he was wearing, I already knew that trying to talk to her was going to be pointless

Dad: hey mon, Im surprised to see you here
Monica: very funny Uncle Steve *she hugged him*
Dad: whos your friend?*he glared at Cesar with an unfriendly look*
Monica: oh this is Cesar
Cesar: hello sir
I tried hard to smile even though the look I was getting from her father wasnt all that great
Monica: well we gotta get going, see you later guys. Bye

I smiled as sweetly as I could at Rachel, then turned around and started walking ahead of Monica. I started to get aggravated and Mon could tell, but its obvious she didnt know why. But she stopped me just before I walked out the door of the church
Monica: whats wrong?
Cesar: why didnt you tell me her father was the pastor?
Monica: how did you figure that out?
Cesar: I think its a little obvious when you look at what he was wearing...
Monica: oh...Well he's my uncle, so I don think of him as a pastor. I guess I just forgot. Whats the problem anyway?
Cesar: well first of all, did you see that way he looked at me? He already doesnt like me. Plus Im never gunnna get a chance with her
Monica: why not? you dont know that?
Cesar: shes a preachers daughter! He wouldnt let her come anywhere near me
*just then someone bumped into Monica*
Monica: *attitude* hey, watch where you're going!
Kevin: *he looked at her and smiled* Im sorry. My fault
Monica: *she rolled her eyes and started to walk off*
Kevin: bye
Kevins POV
Wow, who was that...I never seen her here before...I wonder if Rachel knows
Kevin: Rach, who was that?
Rachel: oh, thats my cousin Monica
Kevin: was that guy her boyfriend?
Rachel: no, I dont think so. I just met him. Why?
Kevin: oh, no reason, I was just wondering...
