Cold start of my 95 Dodge Cummins. The day I recorded this video was on Sunday December 23, 2007. The truck hasn't been started since December 20, 2007, or three days. The temperature at the time of this video is 33F outside. The temperature the past three days has fluctuated, the last day the truck was driven it was hot and humid, but the temperature has gradually worked its way down to 33F

  • How come the paint it still on it. Mine peeled off.

  • The paint is still there, but I have neglected it over the past couple years, and now it needs a new paint job.

  • does ur idle go up once its warrmed up?

  • Yep. After it idles for about 1 or 2 minutes the idle is in its normal range. It just idles low at first because the engine is running on just compression and there is no heat in the cylinders. After about 2 minutes it builds up heat.

  • I was surprised to hear a chime when you started it up. I thought the Dodge Ram truck still only used a scary buzzer until at least 2000.
