Lagrange Point (Famicom)

This game features a special chip in it that gives it superior sound quality. Other than the really good music, the game pretty much sucks and I have no idea what's going on. I might make another...

This chip (the VRC7) was only used in 2 games, and the other game it was used in didn't make use of the chip's sound functions (the VRC7 does stuff other than sound)... so this is pretty much the only NES (well, Famicom) game with such high quality FM synthesised sound.

I think Castlevania 3's chip was slightly inferior to the one for this game. Like, C3's chip was (whatever it's name was) mk6 and this game's chip is mk7

chips are called VRC there were three versions VRC2 for graphics (used in crisis force) VRC6 for FDS quality sound (used in akumajou densetsu) and VRC7 for megadrive like sound (used in lagrange point)

@CommieCatGirl
The Castlevania 3 (aka "Akumajō Densetsu" since it's only the Japanese release that has it) is the VRC6. This game contained the VRC7. The VRC6 added three additional channels for audio, since the Famicom was actually lacking in the audio versus the NES (the NES couldn't have channels added, however). The VRC7 added FM synthesis (think old school MIDI, or Genesis music), which not only freed up most other channels for sound effects, but made the music dramatically better.
