At GBC's 2010 Awards for Excellence in Business Action dinner, held June 8 in Washington, DC, AJudd shared the inspiring story of how a young Congolese girl escaped the cycle of gender-based violence, a powerful example of the need for improved education, economic opportunity and improved health care for girls and women. @durti7069 Tell me what she said that added to your knowledge.
The story she tells is very moving but has nothing to do with health issues
So tell me why she tell this story and what did you learn from it.
Education and access to healthcare wasn't Melodi's problem and isn't a solution.
The problems were caused by economic and social issues not medical ones.
So I have a question for you.
I already know bad things happen.
Tell me what she is doing that will make things better.

SHE TALKS ALOT AND SAYS VERY LITTLE WORTH LISTENING TO.
THIS GIRL DID NOT GO INTO FORCED PROSTITUTION.
EVEN BY YOUR TELLING OF THE STORY SHE DID IT BECAUSE SHE HAD NO OTHER WAY TO MAKER MONEY.
I'M NOT SAYING THERE ISN'T A NEED FOR CHANGE IN COUNTRIES LIKE THE CONGO.
BAD THINGS HAPPEN EVERWHERE IN THE WORLD
BEFORE YOU CAN FIX A PROBLEM YOU HAVE TO CORRECTLY IDENTIFY IT.
HER SPEECH DIDN'T DO THAT.
