  • I've watched a few of your vidoes and it seems you spend alot of your time and energy bashing AA. If it has no effect on your life why does it bother you so much?

  • @MPArmstrong84 Watch closer and you will see the truth of the matter. When I first came here I was only going to talk about RR and leave AA alone. AA proponents here were so self important as to run slander campaigns, death threats, ETC simply because I have found a successful alternative to their tiny offensive belief system.

What I do today is not RR nor is it any other cult club. No one needs a cult to stop hurting themselves.

  • @MPArmstrong84 ise spends all his time bashing AA.

wonder why?? maybe he is just obsessed with it, who knows.

    cheers

  • And your comment shows that you can not read. But I like your ignorance, it makes me feel way smarter than I am.

  • I must admit I was a cynic about you - then I went to AA meetings. Well! I found out: its a cult; their dangerous; you get hit on; its a completely debilitating experience. I still feel traumatised. The most annoying thing is they are recommended by rehab programs. FOR *** SAKE. Keep up the good work. These people are nutters

  • I prefer that you find it out yourself. Shows you are willing to think for yourself. My videos are meant to get a person thinking and it appears I hit the target.

    Thanks for the comment

  • Five, Bro. I have always thought Trimpy's approach to be empowering, something necessary when quieting the Voice. Mike BD

  • AA consumes your life. How is that any different than alcohol and drugs consuming your life? The only difference is that while your in AA you're not (or aren't supposed to be) putting unhealthy drugs and alcohol into your body, but you still have no life. Who the hell wants to spend the rest of their life believing they are still sick and insane? Who the hell wants to hang out every day with people that think like that? Not me. Seriously, get out of AA and start living again.

  • I too am done with the cult. I must secure my own way and I will. I'm reading RR again. Good work!!

  • I too am trying to get my will and my LIFE back without having fear that I will relapse. It is a fear based program.

  • I'm walking away after 11 years of that religious nonsense and brain-numbing crap. It's a risk worth taking I believe. I have no life in AA/NA.

  • @isegoria1 Thanks for posting this. I am starting to read "Rational Recovery" by Trimpy this week (after getting fed up with over 20 years of AA and going nowhere). I'm excited to hear about another alternative. Not to knock AA, but if I can stay sober without ever going to another AA group ever again, I'd be the happiest man on earth.

  • I have posted a follow up video just this morning, thanks for the inspiration. It is posted as a response to this video.

  • This should be called what AA et al DOES NOT give me - I counted 12 "does nots" against 2 "does". I like the idea of rational recovery. I've recently done a rehab program - it was all about taking responsibility. It was positive training - where are your positives? WHAT exactly does RR do?

  • RIGHT ON!!! I completely agree. You summed up my feelings exactly.

  • hello again , i'd just like to say that i found your statement that alcohol and aa had equally robbed you of your freedom really fascinating and thought provoking. please keep posting!

  • Absolutely,I agree 100%

  • Looking to the future and having realistic dreams drives us to greatness.

  • Good vid. What I love about your videos is that they look to the future. Things will get better if we make that choice. Thanks.

  • 2pWORTH - Don't believe everything you think!

  • Wow, Rob. I am genuinely surprised, and a little saddened. You have added an interesting twist to the mix these past few years, both on Yahoo and here. I have seldom agreed with you, but have always begrudgingly admired your tenacity. Enjoy the next phase of your development, and take care of yourself. Mike BD

  • It is AA that has taught me to hate it, not Rational Recovery. It defies labels, labels are for the religious who refuse to think for themselves.

  • No not exactly

  • Is this AVRT?

  • Pretty interesting! What Rational Recovery has given you is about AA!!

So does that mean it is a non-entity?
