Haha, that was the most embarrassing thing someone has ever written to me. Salvador Allende was democratically elected by the people of Chile. Pinochet was not. What is your problem? You can never defend a dictator that murderd 3000-10.000 people and tourted a hell a lot more. And no, it's not Allendes fault that Chile looks the way it does. It is Pinochets and USA:s fault. Blame them for the class distinction in Chile.

Didn't say the USA killed him. Didn't say he was some kind of hero or even a competent leader. He was however the problem of Chile and not the business of the USA. And while Pinochet may have been an "anti comunist hero" he ruled with an iron fist and had no problem torturing and killing his critics. Not who you would expect the 'leader of the FREE world' to support.
And don't forget that Allende polices didn't just fail on their own, they had outside help from the US.
